Capital Mills organizes a successful founder-investor meetup in Gorinchem
On Monday September 30th, Capital Mills organised it’s yearly founder and investor meetup, in the Peeriscoop Theatre in Gorinchem, The Netherlands. This was the third edition, allowing the Capital Mills investor network to get in-person updates from the portfolio companies, and for founders to mingle with each other.
And many of them showed up: we had almost 50 participants who made their way to Gorinchem. In-depth presentations from 9 of our portfolio companies gave a sense of the state of their business, and future outlook of their growth trajectory.
We were particularly grateful for the keynote presentation delivered by Hazel Moore, chairman & co-founder of First Capital, who informed the audience on the state of the exit market, plus tips for founders on preparing a succesful exit. Finally, we also had a special new investment opportunity pitching to the audience of investors.
Next to the presentations and networking there was more news, in particular on the development of the team of Capital Mills – on that, an announcement is coming very soon.
“The portfolio day is an important part of Capital Mills. Ultimately, we exist because of the cooperation between our investors. Having a day where the individual investors and the companies leadership can get to know each other personally, fosters the unity that brings strength.”

“It was wonderful to see all of the companies sharing their stories together. The exclusive setting warrants openness to a degree you do not see very often. The positive energy that was shared amongst all participants furthermore strengthened our belief that the way we approach deal-by-deal investing as well as revenue-based financing, in a personable and down-to-earth manner, is the right one.”
