Fast-growing PressPage receives investment of €2 million
The CommsTech platform experiences 150% growth in bookings; expanding in markets and personnel
AMSTERDAM/CHICAGO, NOVEMBER 3, 2021 - PressPage, the Dutch CommsTech platform for streamlining corporate communications and PR work, has recently raised €2 million. The funding comes via an additional investment from the company’s current investor, Capital Mills, as well as management participation.
The investment comes at a time of vast opportunity and growth for PressPage. As communications teams face an increasingly complex multi-stakeholder world, PressPage helps maintain accuracy, consistency, and velocity. The CommsTech platform is designed to provide seamlessly integrated solutions that allow communications professionals to concentrate on what they do best: manage the reputation of their brands. The company has recently expanded its service area to include the UK and German markets, signing on several triple A-brands as well as growing its team. In just nine months, the company has grown its staff by 52%.
PressPage’s mission is to automate parts of the external communication workflow to free communications teams so they can invest more time in strategy, relationships, and creative development. The platform began by automating the workflow from content creation to distribution and has expanded to support other parts of corporate communication management, including crisis comms.
One successful communications team using PressPage to streamline its workflows is Booking.com. Kristofer Barber, Senior Manager Global PR and Communications, explains a crucial PressPage benefit: “PressPage is a truly valuable partner to us, providing us with an easy-to-use, scalable platform that enables us to share our story consistently and in an engaging way with media around the world. The team's responsive and creative approach is vital in supporting our unique and ever-evolving communication needs.”
The investment round illustrates the potential PressPage has for growth. Day one investors, Capital Mills, have given a concrete show of faith in providing PressPage with this latest investment. “It is great to invest alongside management and support PressPage in its mission to help communication professionals maximize their impact on long-term corporate reputations,'' says Gijs den Hartog, partner at Capital Mills. “PressPage is a perfect example of the win-win for customers, organization, and investors that results from capital efficient growth – a strategy we strongly believe in.”
PressPage CEO Jan-Willem Schalkwijk is confident that the company continues to solve complex workflow challenges for its expanding client base. “PressPage puts the power back in the hands of corporate communications teams allowing them to build and preserve brand reputations while sharing brand stories. These teams operate on their companies’ front line and deserve a technical solution that is tailored to their needs. I am proud to see us give corporate communications teams the platform that will gain them time and space to proactively plan and instantly react when needed.”
